Presenting World Around Me or as we call it, WAM. This is a unique location-based Augmented Reality app that lets you explore the world around you in never-seen-before and immensely useful ways. This puts you at the center of your own world, and helps you navigate thru your immediate environment, and the maze of local information, in a seamlessly integrated way.

You can select the category of places to look for in your immediate vicinity.

This then opens up a view of your surroundings overlaid with billboards of places floating in the direction they are located and centered around your current position. Each of these place marker billboards has rich data associated with it such as distance from user, reviews, website and useful links. Tapping thru them lets you interact with the place in multiple ways, such as by calling, looking at pics and reviews, or finding the shortest route there, all the while without getting lost.

For those times, when you so prefer, the traditional list and map views are also available to interact with.

Introducing “London Bus Live”, an app for visitors and residents in London. It provides information about bus stops around you, along with bus schedules and service delays literally in your palm. This Junaio Channel uses Live  Open Data for buses from Transport For London and combines it with Augmented Reality, which is considered the Eighth Mass Medium by Tomi Ahonen.

What does it do?

This Location Based Augmented Reality application gets information about bus stops within 250 meters radius of the user’s location. The information fetched is then overlaid on the real world while viewing the surroundings through your mobile phone camera. So the user can get to know the name of  the bus stop and how far it is just by looking around him/her. Further, by touching the Bus Stop Billboards the information about bus schedules is made available to the user (shown on the right). This includes the list of all bus routes operating via that bus stop. Additionally, information about bus service delays is also displayed.

How can you use it?

1. Install Junaio from Google Play or  App store
2. Now search for “London Bus Live” channel and open it. Alternatively, you could also scan the QR code below and get access to the channel.
3. Now view information about bus stops around you and get real time information about bus schedule and service delays.
4. If you like the channel then add it to your favorites.

London being a huge city and with thousands of tourists/business travelers visiting the city every year, the problem of finding bus stops around you could be a challenge (even while looking into the 2D maps). We aim to create value for the community by addressing this challenge in London’s public transportation, by introducing “London Bus Live”.

This app has something for everyone with a smartphone, whether you are a long time Lancastrian or a tourist visiting for the first time. Using your location, it gives you real time, dynamic and feature rich information of the places in your immediate surrounding.

It also gives you the freedom to browse this information in multiple ways, be it as a map, a list or as a real time dynamically augmented view of your surroundings.

Just walk around the charming streets of the city, and point your phone in any direction. Up pop little billboards on your screen that show you all the prominent landmarks of the neighbourhood, along with how far they are from your current location. Tapping on a billboard will take you to a page with rich content about that location such as photos, web links and other important information. Switching to map view gives you the more traditional birds eye view of that locality along with thumbnails of the landmarks.

And we, WT Infotech believe it can be achieved through the use of Augmented Reality (AR). AR enables addition of layers of information to museum objects, creating a new way of story narration to its visitors.

With the advent of mobile technology, it has become simpler for AR to be made available on smart phones. Thus providing an opportunity to attract huge number of young and tech savvy mobile phone users to the museum

Additionally, our aim is to use this technology in museum to bring out the educational value by providing this unique experience to the visitors.

This app is designed to assist the Service Science community of practitioners, researchers, enthusiasts and students. It improves the mobile experience of Service Science Info website by allowing content aggregation and sharing of posts through one app.

Content Aggregation:

This app aggregates various categories of posts through RSS feeds. You can read various posts presented as lists under the following categories – Recent, News, Conferences, Blogs, Books, Programs.

● ‘Recent’ aggregates the recent posts on the blog.

● ‘Conferences’ provides a list of Service Science related worldwide conferences.

● ‘Books’ keeps the user updated with an evolving reading list.

● ‘News’ presents the latest Service Science related news.
